Poor Infrastructure
(Social, Economy and Technology)
Have you wondered why vote buying occur or why some voters sell their own right for little money? We have. We think that in order to win election, politicians have strong reason to bribe voters as well as public administrators. However if those people do not respond, the corruption never happen at the first place. And, by the end of the day, the nation have decent representatives as well as senates.
However, that is the thought of people who have full support from the parents to get high education, who never face malnutrition, and who spend the entire life in Bangkok, the most civilization city in Siam. Hence, we do not attach significance to that small money. Those one or two thousand Baht is something to some voters, especially who dwell in very remote and arid area, who have to survive their lives on daily basis, and who never got a chance to improve their condition.

Looking the figures, there is no elucidation why Scandinavia is the least corrupted nations whereas Thailand and most of developing countries record high corruption because if citizen still do not satisfy basic need, it is quite impossible to anticipate them to sacrifice for their homelands.
The lack of good infrastructure can be passed through vote buying via 3 channels. The first one is poverty. Bad infrastructures reduce the welfare of people. Rather than focusing on the jobs, people have to be worried their and relative's health, for instance. In addition, the weak infrastructure prevent the civilization going to rural area. Second, lack of technological accessibility helps politicians to blind the voters since voters cannot be able to reach the complete and correct information. The last is horrible infrastructure foster the promising campaign which is kind of vote buying as well as money. Promising to build the railway, construct more hospital and etc. should not be done since the politicians are not responsible to only their specific area but they are represents the whole country. That is how democracy works.
